Google Translate app for iPhone & iOS is updated to version 1.3.0, and especially it integrates support for iPad as well. The latest Google Translate app does not include any major updates of its features except iPad compatibility.

Translate by speaking the text instead of typing it (17 languages)
Listen to your translations spoken aloud (24 languages)
Display translations in full screen mode to make it easier for others nearby to read
Star your favorite translations for quick access even when you’re offline
Access your translation history even when you’re offline
Spell out the translation of non-Latin script languages (e.g. Chinese, Japanese, etc..) in Latin characters to read it phonetically (e.g. Pinyin, Romaji)

We have been hearing rumors that Apple would announce iOS 6 at their World Wide Developer Conference which takes place later today, now we have a photo which confirms iOS 6 will be unveiled at WWDC 2012.

As you can see from the photo below iOS 6 is one of the main things that Apple will feature at WWDC, the next version of their mobile OS is expected to feature new maps software which Apple has developed themselves to replace Google Maps on iOS.

The WWDC keynote starts at 10AM Pacific Time, and we will have full details of what Apple announces later today. As well as iOS 6 we are also expecting a new range of Macs, iMacs and possibly a new Mac Pro.

It will be interesting to see what Apple has in store for iOS 6, and whether it will be as big a change to their mobile OS as iOS 5 was when it was announced last year.


LG has announced that their latest Android smartphone, the LG Optimus 4X HD is now available in Europe, the handset will go on sale in Germany first and will then be made available in the Netherlands, Sweden, the UK and Italy.

LG have also said that the Optimus 4X HD will also be made available in Asia, CIS and South and Central America within the next few months, although no specific launch dates have been given.

“The Optimus 4X HD is fast but speed alone isn’t what makes this smartphone so great,” said Dr. Jong-seok Park, President and CEO of LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company. “Differentiated User Experience and exclusive features LG engi-neers have developed for this device set this phone apart as much as it’s Tegra 3 brain. With Optimus 4X HD, we’ve set the bar quite high for the industry and the competition.”

The LG Optimus 4X HD features a quad core 1.5GHz NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor, and it features a 4.7 inch IPS multi-touch HD touchscreen display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels.

Other specifications in the LG Optimus 4X HD include Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and it features 1GB of RAM and 16GB of build in storage, there is also a 2,150mAh battery and it comes with DLNA and MHL.

The LG Optimus 4X HD comes with dual cameras, up front there is a 1.3 megapixel camera for video chat, on the back there is an 8 megapixel camera for photos and video, and it can record full HD video in 1080p.
